Welcome to the Cardiac Computed Tomographic Angiography (CTA): Level II & III Training Courses

Our courses are unique in many ways. First, we provide 50 live cases on the scanner, not videotape. Most of our volunteers are patients with established cardiac pathology. The rest are uninsured individuals at risk for CAD. On average, we identify 5-7 patients with unexpected pathology such as multivessel athero-sclerosis, atrial septal defects, leading to surgical and percutaneous interventions. Multiple workstations are installed in our spacious work room for immediate case review. Participants are encouraged to interact with the Siemens application specialist and our highly trained CT technologists.

Next, we will review and additional 100 studies from our case library. The pathology you will be exposed to include all variety of native coronary artery disease, grafts, stents, mechanical valves, pacemakers and ICDs, hypertrophic and ischemic cardiomyopathy, aortic and pericardial disease, cardiac masses, etc. Angiographic echo, as well as cardiac MRI correlation will be provided on a parallel screen. Multiple instructors will be present at all times.

Once you register for our course, you will receive a complimentary copy of our Cardiac CTA Manual as well as lectures on a thumb drive. We strongly encourage you to familiarize yourself with the material prior to the course to maximize your learning experience. You will receive certificates and completed SCCT applications for level II and III credentialing on course completion. Make sure to get plenty of sleep prior to the course. You are in for some very long days.
